In August 2020, I brought my 2014 BMW X1 in for new Brake pads and rotors, front and back...cost $1,000. Lacey Auto Care did not make me aware, nor explain to me that they were not using Non-Original Equipment Manufactured (“Non-OEM“) parts. Just 3-4 months later, upon braking, car and steering wheel are pulsating really bad. I take it back to them and they tell me I now need calipers and also to replace my brakes again because the calipers ruined the brakes and they aren't covered under any warranty and it will be another $963! I told them I'd have to think about that and took my car to another shop who told me the calipers were fine and that I in fact needed Thrust arms for the front brakes and that was causing the excessive movement and amplifying the brake disc pulsation and also I did need new brakes because Lacey Auto Care used OEM parts! I would not recommend Lacey Auto Care and do not trust them after this experience. I also feel I deserve my money back.
